the story of Chabad House
In 1929, the previous Rebbi of Chabad, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak, came to the United States and began sending young rabbis and their families throughout the state, in order to rebuild Judaism after the Holocaust.
After a few years, - In 1985, there were about 60 rabbis who were sent with their families on this special mission.
When Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak passed away ,his son in-law, Rabbi Menachem Mendel continued this important work. He increased and expanded the circle of emissaries all around the world.
Now there are more than 5,450 emissaries!
